The project focuses on improving the Supplier Management Information System (SMIS) of Angkor KasekamRoongroeung (AKR) rice milling company, with support from the German Investment and Development Corporation (DEG). This assignment is the basis for future improvements of the supply chain of AKR including the improvement of the contract farming system and the seed system. Over time, the SMIS will fully integrate with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that AKR might use to optimize product planning, cost control, milling, service delivery, marketing and sales. We believe that the establishment of an effective SMIS will support the transformation of AKR into a world-class rice milling and marketing company and cement its position as a market leader in Cambodia.
